I've been teaching Brazilian Portuguese to foreigners and English/Spanish to Brazilians since January 2000 — over 25 years and 1,500+ students. I've lived in the United States, England, and Spain, learning each language directly from native speakers.

Is Brazilian Portuguese hard to learn for English speakers?
Medium difficulty. The biggest challenges are nasal sounds and the gap between written and spoken Brazilian Portuguese. Private lessons accelerate progress significantly over group classes.
How many classes per week do you recommend?
2 classes per week is the sweet spot for steady progress. For urgent needs (job, trip, Celpe-Bras exam), we can do 3–4 sessions per week.
Do you prepare for the Celpe-Bras exam?
Yes. The Celpe-Bras is Brazil's official Portuguese proficiency exam for foreigners. I prepare candidates for all stages: oral comprehension, written comprehension, written production and oral interaction.
What platform do you use for online classes?
